The Village
Es Grau is a small village on the east coast of the island, surrounded by the National Park of S'Albufera. It is mainly inhabited by local residents, many of whom live and work in Maό and have a second house in the village.
Initially a fishing village, it still has a small but thriving fishing community. The village nestles on a gentle hillside overlooking a beautiful crescent bay with a main beach plus a number of smaller coved beaches. To the north east lies the island of Colom, a lovely privately owned island with two superb beaches accessible to the public by a short boat ride.
